Official Fifty Shades of Grey Casting!

Charlie Hunnam has officially been cast as heartthrob Christian Grey for the movie adaptation on E.L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey book.

Here's the picture from the movie's offical Facebook page:

Hunnam is best known for his role as Jax in Sons of Anarchy. I have never seen the show, and had no idea that Hunnam was in the running (nor knew he even existed), I can't say I'm upset. He can totally pull of the Christian Grey look. Dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, All-American, handsome as hell, alpha male...I'd say just judging by his looks, he will make many women (and men!) happy.
I'm just begging them to keep his face cleanly shaven for the most part to keep true to Christian Grey.

Let's look at some juicy pics to get even more stoked:

As an ending note, I am a little relieved to know that I won't look at him during the movie and be associating him with other shows or movies, like I would if some of the other men had been cast. What do you think?

Vampire Academy / VA / Dimitri

Just about to finish my latest reading series... Vampire Academy! It is different than your average Vampire read.
First of all, the main character is a total badass, and she is one of the few female leads who admits that she knows she's pretty. None of the usual "I don't understand what he sees in plain little old me?"
Second, there are six books! And not one of them sucks! Cough...New Moon...cough.
Third, there is action, romance, suspense, comedy, everything! And it works.
The author, Richelle Mead, keeps the story at an easy-to-follow pace. And the cliff hangers....ahhh! The guys are also yummy :). Just trust me and try it out. Never mind that the girl on the first book's cover looks like Angelina Jolie. Ignore that and give it a whirl. You'll be happy you did! The reading order is here.

Dimitri

When I bring an image to mind of Dimitri from Vampire Academy, I see this guy (you may know him from the Twilight movies as Felix):

Tall, handsome, dark brown hair, brown eyes, and he's played a vampire, so we know that he can pull off looking Strigoi if he ever needed to... He just needs to grow his hair out a little. Btw, his name is Daniel Cudmore.

Best movies based on books

We all know that books are pretty much always better than the movies that are made from them. But this doesn't mean that these movies aren't any good! Here's a small list of movies that I love to watch that were based on books:

Pride & Prejudice (The newer version)
Based off of the book by Jane Austen

I made this collage for my computer background ;)
I could watch Pride & Prejudice everyday if my husband would let me! It's not an unrealistic love story like so many romance stories. Plus, it's a freaking classic. The book is much more in depth, but the movie is easier to follow. And Mr. Darcy isn't so bad to look at... :)

The Notebook
Based off of the book by Nicholas Sparks

"It wasn't over...it still isn't over." Sigh.

Twilight
Based off of the books by Stephenie Meyer

Raise your hand if you spent more time in line for the premiere of this movie than you've spent at church in the last year... *ashamedly raises hand*

Harry Potter
Based off of the books by J.K. Rowling

Now, I'm not gonna lie, I haven't read these books. I need more romance to stay interested in a book. However, these movies are awesome possum.

Lord of the Rings
Based off of the books by JRR Tolkien

It just blows my mind how talented some authors are. How the hell do they come up with this stuff??

The Painted Veil
Based off of the book by W. Somerset Maugham

1. Edward Norton
2. The love scene is moving and unforgettable
3. Edward Norton
